Remove this from the flame and let it cool. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice and vinegar. Mix well and store in an airtight container. Drink two tablespoons of this. Consume twice a day.

For better and faster improvement in your appetite, you could make some ginger tea, by mixing half a teaspoon of ginger powder into a cup of boiling water and straining it after ten minutes. Drink as such or sweetened with a few drops of honey.

Another way to use ginger is to peel and grate a small piece of the rhizome and mix this with some black pepper powder and a few drops of lemon juice. This paste must be taken on an empty stomach every day for about 15 days to see good results.

Ginger + Coriander

Ginger juice works wonders for a poor appetite. Besides, it also gives the added benefit of strengthening the immune and digestive systems. In combination with coriander, which is also an appetite booster, this home remedy makes a strong appetite stimulating drink.

Mix coriander seeds powder and dried ginger powder in the ratio 5:1 to make up to a tablespoon altogether. Add this mixture to the water and heat it until the volume of the water is reduced to almost half. Take it off the flame and let it cool down a little. Drink this while it is warm.


Peppermint is a herb that works wonders on appetite. Whenever you find yourself low on appetite, make a cup of peppermint tea by adding a few peppermint leaves into some boiling water. Steep for a few minutes, strain and drink when still warm. Drink this everyday.
